Experience

I’ve been active in our community since arriving, working to develop and fundraise a natural playground for the Summit Street School, serving on the Recreation Governance Committee that explored merging the village and town recreation departments, as a member and then chair of the Village Bike / Walk Advisory Committee and two terms as both a village trustee and city councilor, as a member, vice-president. I was one of two trustees and two Essex selectboard members  on the Governance Sub-committee that negotiated the merger proposal the community ultimately voted on, and I was active in negotiations regarding the village’s separation from the Town of Essex when the merger votes failed in the town. I left the city council as president in April of 2025.
